Board Meetings The District's Board holds regular bimonthly meetings. However, it may convene meetings at other times as required for the business of the District. These meetings are posted 72 hours in advance of the meeting at the Travis County Courthouse. All such meetings are open to the public in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act. Work sessions, or workshops, are a little different than regular board meetings. A workshop allows the Directors to come together to discuss and evaluate issues in such detail as to open free discussion not normally possible in regular Board meetings. During these workshops, no public comment will be heard, unless specifically requested by a Director and recognized by the Board chair. Public comment may be made at the time the item(s) is up for discussion at a regular Board Meeting. During a Board meeting, the Directors may go into executive session to discuss an item(s) in more detail. |
