The Barton Springs/Edwards Aquifer District actively participates and hosts events designed to engage and educate groundwater users and District residents. Events include stewardship awards, festivals, creek clean-ups, presentations to schools and community groups, and teacher trainings. |

Creek Cleanups Page:
Because major recharge features are frequently located in creeks, the District schedules an annual creek cleanup to improve the quality of water recharging the aquifer and educate residents about the connectivity of surface water and groundwater.
Austin Cave Festival Page:
A host of agencies join forces to put on the Austin Cave Festival. This page details participants and activities for the Cave Festival.
Scholarships Page:
Each year the District offers a College Scholarship ($1500) for area High School Juniors and Seniors and Aquatic Science Camp Scholarships for 9-15 year olds.

Groundwater to the Gulf: Summer Institute for Central Texas Educators Page
The District in collaboration with many local water agencies hosts a 3-day, field trip-based summer institute for educators that is designed to introduce educators to local science topics, current issues, and hands-on activities for the classroom.
