Rules for Aquifer Storage and Recovery (ASR) Projects

Notice is given that a Public Hearing by the Board of Directors of the Barton Springs/Edwards Aquifer Conservation District (District) will be held at the District office located at 1124 Regal Row, Austin, Texas, during its Regular Meeting on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at 6:15 p.m. for the following purpose:

The Public Hearing concerns proposed revisions to the District Rules and Bylaws generally related to: Aquifer Storage and Recovery (ASR) rules relating to definitions, permit process and applications, permit amendments, permit conditions and requirements, pilot test permit, well construction standards, as well as, maximum withdrawals for management zone and Saline Edwards DFC.

Following the hearing, the Board may possibly take action to approve some or all of these changes.  A copy of the proposed rules is available for viewing and copying at the District office or available online here.   A public 20- day comment period for which comments will be accepted by the District until close of business on 3/21/19.  For more information, please contact the District office at (512) 282-8441.
